February 25, 2012

                                                                                                                                    February 25,2012
Dear Family and Friends,
This was our change week and it was a bit different than normal. We received four missionaries but no missionaries went home.  Our four arriving missionaries came from Argentina,Bolivia,Guatemala and Centerville ,Utah. We did all the normal welcoming things on Tuesday and Wednesday and once they all  met their companions and had some training they went off to their areas.
President added two new assistants this change bringing the number to four.  Elders Paladines and Elder Clement bring their wonderful teaching skills to aid Elder Durrant and Love in teaching and training around the mission. We still have many missionaries that are young in the mission and we will be losing two big groups in the spring so he wanted to have two more assistants to be out helping get the teaching level raised. This will help reinforce the things we taught at zone conference and help with the application of the things we discussed.
Two of the office elders will also be training two elders for their responsibilities. Elder Gleason is training Elder Cannon to be the new registrar(keeper of records) and Elder Stewart is training Elder Clark to be the new financier. They both have much to learn but seem happy with their new assignments. They both have big shoes to fill!
We received notice of who will be replacing us in July. Pedro David Agazanni and his wife Marie from Cordoba ,Argentina will replace us here when we finish our assignment. We were instructed to tell the missionaries so they all found out last Monday in our weekly newsletter. We are trying not to think about the end of the mission yet but we do have some things to do to prepare for the Agazannis.
Elder Foster from the area presidency was in town this week so we spent time with him when he stayed with us here in the mission home and at various meetings and dinners during the week.  We really love him and his kind and loving way of teaching!
Today is our oldest daughter Jenny’s birthday. We are so grateful for the wonderful daughter she is. She has helped us so much during the last few years while we have been here. She is a great mother and wife and a great example to us in so many ways. We love her so much!
Have a great week!                                                                                                      Love, Mark and Sandy
